Ettrick Wetland Community Planting Event

Healthy wetlands are the kidneys of the catchment—capturing nutrients, filtering water, and providing vital habitat biodiversity. Just 350 metres from Iron Pot Creek in Ettrick lies a spectacular 3-hectare wetland.

Join us for a community planting day as we work together to enrich this ecosystem by planting an additional 500 native trees and sedges around this wetland.

There will be a 300m walk from the parking area to the planting site. Holes will be prepared in advance.

BYO hat, drink bottle, long pants and closed boots - gumboots may be a good idea depending on the weather the week prior.

A picnic lunch will be provided on conclusion of the planting. Hand washing facilities will be available.

This event will continue in mild wet weather. Should heavy rain occur it will be rescheduled.
